• ADAPT stands for Architectural Design Association of Portugal and Turkey. It is the alliance of two successful architectural firms based in Porto and Istanbul – Impromptu Architects and MESE Architects – developing projects since 2008. ADAPT was founded in January of 2013 by Nuno Rosado and Selahattin Tüysüz, both with an academic background from renowned schools such as the Bauhaus Foundation in Dessau, Germany and the Architectural Association in London, UK; and a recognized professional experience, having worked in the prominent international offices like the Office for Metropolitan Architecture and Zaha Hadid Architects, respectively. They have lectured and exhibited their work in several cities including London, Paris, Berlin, Delft, Augsburg, Graz, Minnesota, Istanbul, Ankara, Porto, Évora and Lisbon.

ADAPT is an international design firm with offices in Portugal and Turkey, operating in the field of architecture, urbanism, product design and research, formed by a young strongly motivated team, ready to answer any challenge with rigor and professionalism. Formed by architects with a diversified professional experience, different concerns, interests and sensibilities, it envisages the workspace as a research laboratory continuously exploring new forms and materialities to offer distinctive and imaginative solutions. Attentive to the contemporary culture, our team combine a theoretical ground with an experimental practice, searching for innovative solutions, to be able to address a society in constant mutation.
